The ZEpHyR 2 rocket is an enhancement of the ZEpHyR 1. It has a diameter of about 0.2 metres and a length of 5 metres. The motor still utilises paraffin as fuel and liquid oxygen as oxidiser. ZEpHyR 2 will still use a pressure regulated feed system with helium as pressurisation gas. The main challenges of the development of ZEpHyR 2 will be the upscaling of the hybrid rocket motor, the optimisation of its efficiency, the reduction of the structural mass and the design of the recovery system.

The launch of ZEpHyR 2 is scheduled for autumn 2020.
